Here Lancelot quickly developed his great strength and skill in fighting. At the young age of thirteen Lancelot set out for Camelot with his two older cousins and half-brother. When Lancelot arrived in Camelot, King Arthur dubbed Lancelot knight in memory of his father's support. One of Lancelot's first tasks as knight was to fetch Arthur's bride, Guinevere, to Camelot for there wedding. During this journey Guinevere and Lancelot fall in love. Once Guinevere and Arthur are married, Lancelot is made one of the Queen's Knights to prove himself before he can be added to the Knight's of the Round Table. He quickly establishes himself as the greatest knight of all times after completing several quests and becomes a full Knight of the Round Table. Lancelot also earns the complete trust and Arthur and becomes his closest companion. When Guinevere is kidnapped by a rival kingdom, Lancelot is sent to rescue her. After the queen's rescue, Lancelot and Guinevere fall madly in love. Out of guilt for his forbidden love, Lancelot begins quest after quest so that he can stay as far from Guinevere as possible. During a quest to rescue an allying kingdom's princess, Elaine, Lancelot falls under enchantment. This enchantment causes Lancelot to think that Elaine is Guinevere. The two then sleep together, and as a result, Lancelot has a son named Galahad. After many years, Lancelot and his son Galahad are reunited. Lancelot then sets out, with Galahad, for his greatest quest of his life, the quest for the Holy Grail. After the holy quest is proven to be a failure, Lancelot returns to Camelot to rekindle his flame with Guinevere. When Lancelot and Guinevere are discovered in her chamber, Lancelot flees and Guinevere is sentenced to burn at the stake. Lancelot returns to Guinevere's rescue, which causes a great war between Arthur and Lancelot. The war is prematurely ended when Arthur must return to Camelot to deal with a rebellion. Even though Arthur clearly hates Lancelot, Lancelot still runs to the aid of the King. Lancelot, however, is too late. He arrives just as Arthur ...
