...sweethearts. It doesn’t matter when you meet your significant other. The only thing that does matter is the fact that the two people love each other. To me high school sweethearts are people that fall in love while they are in high school and their love stays strong enough so that they can be together forever. For example, two people that became high school sweethearts were my grandparents. They knew each other in high school, but they didn’t start dating until their senior year. The way they got together was that my grandpa dated one of my grandma’s friends his junior year. After his other relationship was over, he started falling in love with my grandma. They are still together now and they love each other more and more every day. I just wish that everyone in the whole world can find the one person they are suppose to be with. There are some cases where high school sweethearts didn’t work out. My girlfriend’s mother and father were high school sweethearts. They were married for 21 years and then decided to get a divorce. They had two wonderful children named Jennifer and Lindsay. Over the years they just let the flame die. Some people just can’t get along for eternity. For me, I am hoping me and my high school sweetheart can live together until the day we die. Lindsay and I have been dating for over 2 years and we love each other dearly.
