...ised. They had no right to do that, and I doubt that they went to Congress and asked if they can do it before initiating. However, these men are terrorists, and they don’t care about other people’s sovereignty, rights, or freedom. Because we are the United States, we are supposed to be above that. That’s why the President is supposed to go to Congress before making important decisions such as when/if to go to war. The reality is the United States is technically the “World’s Police”. We are the most powerful country in the world, and have the most technically advanced weaponry/army that exists. The terrorists never expected the war to happen. They never expected that we would come at them with force and make the leaders of their terrorist cells crawl into caves and hide. They now see what kind of people they have worked for, and have since had a change of heart for who they give praise to. They have also been taught a lesson as to what the consequences are if you compromise the United States’ sovereignty. So, have we compromised Iraq’s sovereignty? Absolutely! But was it necessary to do so? Yes. In the theory of “an eye for an eye” the United States had every right to go in and bomb, destroy, and kill. And now that Saddam has moved into Syria, we have every right to do the same there. Before the war, we sat around and waited for terrorism attacks to happen.
