During the process of becoming ready for the shot, however, a cab driver appears and makes Veta realize that Dowd is a very unique individual and there will never be another like him. Veta immediately stops Dr. Chummley, who is disappointed because he wanted Harvey all to himself. The play ends happily for everyone but Dr. Chummley, who didn't recieve Harvey. Harvey is a very good and enjoyable play by the author Mary Chase. This very good and enjoyable play is about alot of things. First of all, there is a a man named Elwood P. Dowd. Elwood P. Dowd. is supposedly a very crazy man who has an imaginary friend named Harvey. This friend of his, Harvey, is a big while rabbit. This rabbit is six and a half feet tall and can only be seen by Elwood P. Dowd, who is a very crazy man. The fact that nobody but Elwood P. Dowd can see this big white six and a half feet rabbit disturbs his sister Veta, who thinks Harvey is a very crazy man and is embarrassed and ashamed of her very crazy brother.
