Harlem

...t devoted to the art and architecture of medieval Europe, I know nothing about Harlem at all and I think the tour is very educational. Before the tour my exposure to wards Harlem¡¯s rich black history and spectacular architecture was very limited. All I know Harlem is a Black and Spanish neighborhoods before this trip. Before the tour my inspection of Harlem is a normal neighborhood like anywhere else because I didn¡¯t know any history and stuff about Harlem. Then a second highlight of our trip was our visit to the Alexander Hamilton Grange. Which amazingly still stands today and professor show us a lot of church in Harlem and Jackie Robbison Park. After leaving the Grange, we continued our tour, passing by St. James Presbyterian Church. After the tour when I got home I told my little sister that I went to the Cloisters with my African and American class, and she told me that she being there before. In African American class I learn a lots of black history, therefore I think this class is worth and interesting The Schomburg Experience At 3:00 P.M as the finale for our trip, we finished the day at the world- famous Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture (one of the New York Public Libray¡¯s main research collections, where we went to see a Jazz concert. Program Larry Ridley ¡°Bassist Extraordinaire & Jazz legacy Ensemble. Birthday tribute to monk & dizzy Schomburg center) In Harlem the Schomburg is rich with black history and culture.The host of today¡¯s program was Mr. Larry Riddley.
