Hamlet (his behavior effected by conflict)
...im, and his father, selfishly thinking only of herself. Just to complicate things further, Hamlet's mother doesn't understand and has no idea what he's feeling. Now, powerless and defeated, he collides with nature gaining no control over life or death. Still grieving over his fathers death, he discovers his father was murdered. Hamlet is unable to understand why this was happening and why there was nothing he could do to change or fix it. He feels obligated to murder the king to get revenge for his father. Ophelia's death was just one more person Hamlet loved that was taken away from him. In some way’s Hamlet had to feel responsible for Ophelia's suicide considering he killed her father. Overall, Hamlet is forced to accept that he has no control over fate, destiny, or the lives of others. Hamlet is now forced to consider the views of society. While contemplating suicide, man vs. society he must think of the results of his actions. This was an unforgivable sin that would shame his name and reputation. Now that he feels hopeless, alone and has no one to go to or trust, he is thinking less about others opinions. More importantly Hamlet has to decide if he is going to murder the king, risking the people not aproving or understanding. With so many people questioning Hamlets odd behavior they may not think he was in his right mind. Last, Hamlet is torn by inner conflict, man vs. himself. He now has to decide...
