... wish to stay close to my mother, father, and three younger brothers. The location of Gustavus gives me the freedom I desire, but also allows me to stay in touch with my brothers as they grow up. After narrowing my search to in-state schools, I became aware that Gustavus’ academics are among the top in the state. Gustavus also has a soccer program that I would be proud to be apart of. Soccer has been my main recreational activity, and has been a major influence on my life. Not only do I love playing the sport, in the past few years I have became a coach and teacher of soccer. Larry Zelenz has spoken to me on many occasions and is very excited about my interest in attending Gustavus. The idea of a small college atmosphere is appealing to me.
