Conclusion: My hypothesis was correct. The plant in the dark grew to be much taller than the plant in the sunlight. This is because the plant in the dark was trying to climb out of it¡¦s area in order to find sunlight. It was using all its energy to grow tall which left no energy to produce and reproduce new vegetation. The plant in the sunlight did nto need to grow as much so it flourished.
