...ly, the soldiers were no match for the Huns. Even some of the warriors couldn’t stop them; they were a smaller and weaker army than the nomads. Unity was the natural order in China. Because of Emperor Qin Shi Huangdi’s great ambition, he was able to unite people from other parts of China into one area under the protection of the Great Wall. Without the Great Wall, China wouldn’t be China. The Ancient Chinese would run away from the Huns and Hsiung Nu and settle all around the world. If that really did happen, there wouldn’t be any Chinese civilization and Mongolia would take over the entire area. The Mongols wanted power and more land meant more power. The Great Wall is one of the most important structures in China. When I look at the Great Wall, I see the creation of the importance in Ancient China. It truly is the “Eighth Wonder of the Ancient World.” If the Great Wall had never been built, scholars wouldn’t be talking about it. China would just be another normal country like Morocco or Norway. Honor was taken seriously and substantially. A lot of workers and warriors died, but they died in honor and endeavor to protect their families and China.
