Furthermore, there is a research shown that many parents believe that going abroad is a kind of long-term investment. And that it is. Not only can their children who graduate from high school learn more foreign advanced culture, and know more foreign knowledge and master a certain skill, but also ¡°get gilded¡±, which means getting the foreign diploma, and with it people can find a job easily when they return to China. Cheng Na, who has just finished her study in New Zealand, is looking for a job with her foreign diploma, and there are at least three companies want her to be the interpreter. Consequently, she becomes the ¡°best-seller¡±. Under this situation, it is better for high school graduates to go abroad and study overseas instead of going to a common university in China. Second, it is useful for Chinese education. As it known to all, there are some problems with Chinese education, namely, the limited ability of recruiting students, lack of competition, and the unitary teaching system. On the contrary, the Western countries¡¯ education is pretty good, and in Western countries¡¯ universities, the courses are practical. Say ¡°The College of Central London¡±, it has courses like Marketing and Advertising, Management, and Export, which are all related to the students¡¯ future job. Darrah, who is teaching in SIAS now, thinks what she has learned in College of William &Mary is very helpful for her teaching job. Therefore, the foreign universities attract a large number of Chinese high school graduates going abroad and this action mitigates the pressure of the University Entrance Examination in China. Put it differently, China Education Organization makes use of the sources of the foreign universities in order to decrease the pressure of the Examination, and depends on the various education systems to foster Chinese education system. Especially nowadays, having joined in WTO, Chinese education is facing with the reformation and communication with the foreign education, so the government should encourage more high school graduates to go abroad so that the professors could learn the differences between western and eastern education system by the students¡¯ real life experience. Finally, it is helpful for Chinese society. If studying abroad, the high school graduates will make a firm bridge between China and the other countries in culture, thought and technology for sure.
