... When David gets home he either gets beaten up or is forced to play one of his mothers “games”. For example, he would be locked up in the bathroom with a mixture of ammonia and Clorox and would have to clean the bathroom. Other times he would be burnt on the stove or eat from his brother’s diaper. David would perform his afternoon chores and then returns to the basement where he sits on his hands with his head tilted back, waiting for his mother to summon him. Only if he has finished all of his chores on time is he aloud to eat a small amount of food. His day ends only when his mother allows him to. Then he curls up on the old army cot trying to keep himself warm. All that David wants is to have the love of his mother. He does everything in his power to get the approval that he longs for and yet in never happens. In the pivotal seen that I drew David is being burnt.
