How much are the fees involved with the girl scouts: All of our girls pay a $7.00 yearly due, and the rest of the money we receive we get through our fundraisers. Our money raised goes towards our trips, badges, and other outings and activities. Are there different levels of the Girl Scouts: Why yes there are we have multiple levels depending on your age group: Our levels are • Daisy Girl Scouts ages 5-6 • Brownie Girl Scouts ages 6-8 • Junior Girl Scouts ages 8-11 • Cadet Girl Scouts ages 11-14 • Senior Girl Scouts ages 14-17 How did you get into this job: I got into the Girl Scouts because my daughter got into it and really enjoyed it. I thought it would be something we could do together. When I started taking Alexandria to her meetings, I was meeting some of the other mothers, and became good friends with them. I became really good friends with my daughter’s troop leader, so eventually we became co-leaders and did everything together.What other career opportunities are there with the Girl Scouts: hummm… other career opportunities… you could always work in the main office of the Girl Scouts. Whether your interests lie in information systems and technology or whatever we have all kinds of career options like: Human Resources, Administrative Support, Government Relations and Advocacy, Finance Services, and Corporate Relations and Administration. They are members of a team, working towards a common goal, with each girl striving to do her best; it’s kinda like a competition. The girls also use other skills, such as earning money for troop activities, learning to take orders in a business-like way, handling money, delivering cookies in top condition, and knowing the satisfaction of a job well-done. Cookie sale earnings help bridge the gap between incomes from other sources, such as gifts, bequests, and other fund raising, and the money required to provide Girl Scouting in the community.
