...o long. The emotions ranged from sadness to anger. The sadness was for the war to be over and anger for what they were fighting for. This movie also showed some of the triumphs and failures of the union and confederate side. They showed some of the individual battles between regiments. For example they showed the battle on the Little Roundtop Hill, where Officer Chamberlain was hit very hard by the confederates several times. He came up with a plan to attack with force. His plan worked and they showed all of the officers congratulating him. When they show the first attack on battle grounds they show how the confederates wait as the union come down the hill. Neither of the sides seemed to be ready. The hit was very short and unprepared. Both sides though fighting seemed to patriotism for there country. They both carried the American flag and played patriotic music. They played the music to march and to remind them of the country. This movie also showed them one man out of each side holding there American flag and the union or confederate flag. They all were fighting for the chance to become one, even though that really wasn’t one of the main causes it was one they shared. I noticed that the movie did lack in definition. They movie is told from the first person which seemed to not explain a whole lot. It was what was happening then. That made it hard to follow; I feel that it could have used a better introduction. They needed to explain why they were there and why it was the war started. This movie defiantly was designed to explain the one battle and not the whole war.
