George Gaylord Simpson
...ted and gathered many fossil materials from trips all over the United States and to Argentina. George Simpson had discovered the migratory and the evolutionary paths and patterns of prehistoric animals within those countries. George Simpson’s deductions that discovered that species had once reached adaptive highs and that they had also suffered accidental dispersal’s was just one of his great contributions to evolution. Simpson had stated that that living things evolve in three major ways. George Gaylord Simpson had given his three ways special names (1) speculation, (2) phyletic evolution, and also (3) quantum evolution. In Simpson’s first way, speculation, individual members of a species leave their main population and evolve into a new species. In his second way, phyletic evolution, an entire species slowly evolves into a completely new species. Finally, in quantum evolution, Simpson’s third theory, stated that isolated members of a species evolve rapidly into a completely different new species. Because of George Simpson’s great idea’s, they led to the development of an other major theory in evolution, the synthetic theory of evolution. In this theory Simpson combines the evolution theory with paleontology and a few other sciences, which is too a great contribution to the theory evolution. George Gaylord Simpson had also argued that the evolution of mammals, which can be seen from their last fossil remains, happened to fit perfectly well with the new mechanisms of population genetics during his ti...
