...ded for each group: • 2 yardsticks • 1 protractor • 12 in. of string • 1 small weight Procedure: 1. Tie one end of the string securely around the small weight 2. Tie the other end of the string around the center of the flat part of the protractor 3. Have one group member stand in front of the object that you are measuring and hold the protractor so the flat edge is upward 4. Have other group members measure (using the yard sticks) how far the group member with the protractor is from the object that is being measured, record 5. Holding the protractor at eye level, tilt the flat edge upward so that the top of the object that you are measuring can be seen 6.
