From Hitlers Meinn Kampf and Schindler's List
... This movie is extremely long and sometimes slow, but it is incredibly done. It tells the gruesome tales of real events that happened in Nazi occupied Poland during WWII. This story is not told by an individual who survived the concentration camps, (though there are some of those accounts included) instead, the story is focused on the efforts of Oskar Schindler to protect the lives of his Jewish workers. Schindler was a man with many powerful contacts and used these contacts to get his way. He was a charismatic leader who cleverly finds ways to relate to the SS officers. He can be compared to former President Clinton because of their similar charisma and decadent love lives. Schindler was involved with three different women for three years and refused to lie to any of them, which shows the power of the charm he possessed. Beautifully done, I really enjoyed the detailed character of Schindler. It is a really hard movie to watch, and I could not imagine sitting through this movies if I were Jewish. The horrors of the Holocaust are the worst human rights violations in the history of the world. It makes me think of our current situation in Iraq, and makes me feel good about our preemptive action to remove an evil dictator. If someone would have taken action against Hitler preemptively,...
