There are over 4,000 species of frog known throughout the world. Frogs and toads are amphibians called anurans. Newts and salamanders are also amphinians. They communicate by croaking. Bats, turtles, herrons, snakes and tarantuals are all natural predators to the frog. Jumping is a survival skill. The frog jumps so they can move fast without leaving a trail for a predator to follow. Some toads are poisionous and are deadly to the animals that hunt them. Frogs are cold blooded animals.
