The moth wants to live a life of beauty and is tired of the normal routine as seen when he quotes “We get bored with routing and crave beauty and excitement”. (140) The moth is expressing how he is tired of the ordinary and wants more excitement. Harrison ,like the moth, believes life should be more exciting and adventurous , and bleieves it is wrong to take all of the excitement and competition out of life. Harrison and the moth both die in pursuit of freedom and beauty. Harrison strongly believed that everybody should be different and not everybody be the best or the worst at things. Harrison died because his strong belief as that so happened to the moth. The moth believed that he should go to the light and to get out of the normal routine of life and into what he wanted the most. The moth wanted beauty and he was going to go to the fire to get the beauty of the fire. Harrison also wanted beauty, he wanted the beauty of people to come out.
