Also, the women are not allowed to go out in public unless they have permission from a man. On the other hand, the men of Saudi Arabia can do whatever they want. Rarely do they get punished for crimes they commit. Men and women of the Arabic countries are treated very different and do not know what freedom means. Second, men in Arabic countries have complete freedom. Primarily, in these countries the men have this freedom because of their gender. Since the beginning of time men have been seen as the dominant gender; however, many men have taken the dominant gender image a little too far. For example, in Saudi Arabia, the men have complete power over their wives. They can tell their wives what to do and where to go. Also, the men of Saudi Arabia can kill their wives and not receive any punishment. On top of having power over the women, the men in Saudi Arabia and many other Arabic countries refuse to acknowledge women as anything other than things to pleasure them. Last, both women and men in the United States have freedom. In our country, women can do as they please. They do not need a man’s permission to go out. Also, we do not have to veil. Women in the United States have taken a different approach to life. Rather then sitting back and waiting for a man to tell us what we can and cannot do, we have gone out and provided for ourselves.
