...unds read. A reader must also learn to pick up the writings modulations. Synesthetic means a subjective sensation or image, of another sense than the one being stimulated. An example of this is hearing. Some people hear sounds and the sounds seem to have characteristic colors. The kind of illustration used in the second paragraph is a story. The lesson implied in the story used in the second paragraph is that a person has many obstacles, he will focus on the big problem, even if the big problem is not the main problem. The illustration in the second paragraph relates to the subject of the writing by expressing that everyone is naturally attracted to bigger and more exciting things. Humans like loud movies and snakes larger than what they could every be. Three influences that films and televisions have had on the body’s senses that writing does not, is the films capture your attention better than books, films are audible, and films and television bring experience to life easier than reading a book because its a lot simpler to go and sit in front of a television and have all the thoughts and your imaginations put into your head by a screen than reading about it and actually having to imagine the story up in your mind. More arguments made in the fourth paragraph about movies and printed words should not compete on the same level because they are completely different, that it tales pages and pages of words to describe an image that would take mere seconds in a movie. Printed words can get long and some what boring to read. Syllogism is deductive reasoning. An example of this is making the assumption that if a dog goes out in the rain, he will come inside wet, smelly, and muddy. The figure of speech used in the last sentence of paragraph four is personification. The sentence describes a book “flinging off their disguises and jumping onto screens.” That is giving a book human like characteristics. One reason reading a book can be better than watching a film is that a book is literature. Some people enjoy verbal reading sentence-by-sentence of words. Another reason is people read books because they actually enjoy. They will watch if they want, but they prefer books. The third reason is because when reading a book, one can use their imagination to act out the events in their heads. The reader is not limited to an on-screen performance, they can make their own actions up for their characters. Three things that make book ...
