... Abortion is the explosion of the products of conception before the embryo or fetus is viable (living). An interruption of a pregnancy prior to the 28th week is considered an abortion. Although a fetus at its 28th week has fingers and toes, eyes and ears, has lungs, and even a little heartbeat. To me this would be viable. There are thousands of abortions done every day. Yet I can’t say I would have them make abortion illegal. If it was illegal people would find other ways to terminate their pregnancy, and it probably wouldn’t be very safe. It is a person’s choice that they have to live with. No one forces them to do this. But unfortunate for some it is the easy way out. With the research in stem-cell transplantation tissues and fetuses are in high demand. The cells is are used for treatment for many ailments: Alzheimer’s, Huntington’s and Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy, spinal injuries, stroke, diabetes, hemophilia, and many birth defects. An estimated 10 million people could be helped with the injection of these cells into affected areas. At least here in America we are putting these tissues and cells to good use. In china a fetus and placenta are considered a delicacy. Yes, people eat fetuses, human babies that have been aborted. “One physician from china quoted as saying the fetuses are ‘nutritious’ and claimed to have eaten 100 herself in the past six months. Government-run clinics give them away; they’re available from private clinics though for a $1.25.” This is cannibalism! If that was the case her in America; Lord help us all! Neither here or there is without some wrong, but with the circumstances of some of today’s pregnancies some could almost be justified for an abortion. But whether it is right or wrong even with the medical cures it might uncover, society is still deciding. If scientist were to ask women to get pregnant and in 4 months after conception have an abortion to help cure plaguing diseases of mankind. How many people would jump at the opportunity? Maybe a few if the money was right. As for those who already plan to have an abortion; would this information strengthen or back up their decision.
