...house Pepe had too much wine to drink and when some man said something to him he got angry and threw his knife, killing him. Before Pepe left on his Journey, Mama Torres gave him a horse, a water bag, a blanket, a rifle with 10 cartridges and some beef jerky. Pepe rode his horse for a while on the trail stopping occasionally for a drink of water or to eat a little beef jerky. Pepe suddenly jumped on his saddle and hurried behind a big redwood tree because a fat man with red cheeks and a white stubble beard rode his horse by. After this man rode by Pepe started up the very steep hill. Pepe is very tired now and is having a hard time to keep his eyes open. Pepe stopped at a pool to fill up his bag of water and allowed the horse to have a drink. When his horse was eating the dry grass, Pepe went to get some beef jerky to eat and he looked for his knife to cut it but realized it was lost. Pepe then finally muttered his prayers and fell asleep. Soon after Pepe continued his journey, his horse got shot and dropped onto its side. Pepe now was crawling trying to escape from these men. A bullet hits a rock splitting it in half and a piece of rock went into his knuckle on his hand. He pulls the rock out and puts spider webs in it to stop the bleeding. His hand swelled up and he looses his gun. Once Pepe finally hears the horses’ hooves on the gravel and the hound dogs he realizes he has no chance and stands up in the clearing to ge...
