... or not Pepe had become a man and commented how he wanted to become a man as well. During the middle of the night Pepe returned with everything that he was suppose to get. Pepe had a new task at hand. He told Mama that he had to go to the mountains. During his visit to Mrs. Rodriguez house, he had a fight with a man; he argued how he had become a man. Mama and her other two sons where preparing everything for Pepe’s journey. They say him until there eyes could not see to that extend. Emilio asked if Pepe was dead and Rosy responded “not yet.” Pepe had his rifle in his hand as he entered the trail to the mountain. He stopped to drink some water, rest and eat some jerky. When suddenly a fat man on a horse came by and Pepe ran got on the horse. He got back on the trail and loaded his rifle, as he kept going up the surface got rough and dry. He reached a dark watcher but he ignored it and continued on the trail that way he avoided the watcher. He looked down to watch the part of the trail that he had come. Then he stopped to rest and the horse drank some water and ate some grass, while he was sitting on a tree looking at the trail below him. He took some jerky and but could cut it since he did not have his knife. While he was sleeping he heard a whinny sound so he got his saddle and mounted the horse; he dropped his reins and the horse was in control now, his jeans ripped because of the rough ride of the horse.
