...Because of the fast food, one can get one¡¯s meal immediately or at most in several minutes without having to wait for a long time in the formal restaurant or even spending more time to prepare it oneself. Similarly, the convenient systems of communication and transportation have also abridged much dispensable time. However, we are actually live in a more hurried life than ever before, despite of so many inventions that make our life ¡°faster¡±. Although people who are on the machine which rotates with high speed eager for repose, once they have the extra time, they would spend much of it on their work0. So, compared with the life before, not having been emancipated from the onerous work, to some extent, people become busier. In order to complete the task, one¡¯s dinner has usually been reduced to a hamburger which is the best choice for them as a fast and high energy meal, and they sometimes even go on engaging in their works as well as swallow the meal. The fast communication has also required us of high efficiency and quick response, in order not to fall behind in the competitive society. People here are just like machines which work almost incessant and in a higher and higher speed. While the fast-industry contributes to quicken the human being¡¯s pace of life, the fundamental reason for that are the values of the people that give to much stress to competition and efficiency.
