The audience could be anyone who leads a mundane life in their own world and also anyone who know of people in this situation. The main audience would be teenagers who often feel that they need to please everyone, rather than taking care of themselves. The song is a conversation between two friends. One of the friends is trying to tell her that she is a victim. However, she has been brought up like this so is unable to see that there is anything wrong with her situation.. The friend is trying to convince the other person so stop trying to please everybody and that you should just be yourself.
