Euthanasia

... In the past few years, Euthanasia has been accepted both legally and morally in various forms in many societies. In ancient Greece and Rome it was permissible in some situations to help others to die. With the rise of organised religion, euthanasia became morally and ethically abhorrent. Christianity, Judaism, and Islam all hold human life sacred and condemn euthanasia in any form. Western laws have generally considered the act of helping someone to die a form of homicide subject to legal sanctions. Even a passive withholding of help to prevent death has frequently been severely punished. Euthanasia, however, is thought to occur secretly in all societies, including those in which it is held to be immoral and illegal. Many people like the idea of euthanasia although it is not legally allowed anymore, and offcourse if we have the protagonist there is always antagonist for the case. But why are some people are so against euthanasia? Here are some advantages and disadvantages of it: Advantages: • It is a big advantage for the Doctor who’s going to perform it, because they are going to be paid a big amount of money out of it. • The family of the dying person don’t need to put up with the pain and grief, everytime they are seeing their love one suffering to death. • ...
