Some other things that caused the US to become the world power were, the U.S. began expansionism and started to develop markets in other countries. The United States played a leading role in expanding trade, and promoting economic growth around the world. The US’s expansion was a positive thing, it furthered the country to become a world power. Its effects were good; they made the US more powerful, and broadened its markets. It solved economic problems of the nation, by expanding its markets. It also helped American big businesses, for they invested directly in the economies of other countries. The US advanced in military technology, and produced a navy that was far superior to other nations. In addition, by expanding and acquiring naval bases around the world, the US had many places to take on fuel and supplies. Overall, Expansion and Imperialism had positive effects, which made the nation stronger, and larger. Even today, the United States is still effected by world power.
