... education? However, one’s thought process must venture more abysmally when considering the impact of this word. Education is the tool in which we come to know and apprize the world around us. It is the light that conks out the darkness of poverty. It is as much a state of freedom as benightedness a state of bondage. Education is not an amenity but a necessity for discovering self worth and making the world a more livable place. Albert Einstein, Alexander Graham Bell, Martin Luther King Jr., Elizabeth Stanton are few of numerous examples of what an open mind can pilot to. Do you doubt that these people were called crazy for their ideas and apprehensions? Of course they were, but that did not stop them. Having an open mind should be an endeavor each of us should strive to triumph over. I ask you this: What good is a window on a summer day if it cannot be opened? Our minds should be more like open windows than mirrors reflecting back the ideas of everything we dare to articulate. When a child says to you, “I can’t” it usually means that they are physically incapable of accomplishing the act in question.
