easy like sunday morning

...st started, when I reached the furniture shop I was working at. Make no mistake, all the work had to be done on time. I had to receive the deliveries and checked them, making sure there was nothing missing. Then I had to tell every coworker what to do; one of them had to take care of polishing the furniture, the second had to fix up the show cases and clean the floor from all these papers and plastic bags thrown all over the place. The third had to help the delivery guys to unload the incoming pieces of furniture. I also had to make sure every delivery was in its specific place to keep the place organized as Book Store. Then I had to go through the rest of the paperwork and calculate the outcome and the income of the whole day, making no mistakes because every penny and every missing piece was in my responsibility. By the end of the day, I couldn’t feel my head after drinking 10 cups of coffee and 3 bags of Advil. There were lots of stress and headache in every single weekday at work. And that was how I went through the weekdays Monday through Saturday. Six days a week looked exactly the same, the same stress, the same worries about going to work on time and getting the work done before 4 o’clock in the afternoon. Even after I finished working, I had to go all the way back home in the rush hours. I got to buy something to eat after I reached home, since I didn’t eat noting at my job, because it was too busy to even have a sandwich there. Then I had to rush to the mailbox to check if there were any utility bills or credit cards bills I got to pay or not, instead of paying this sky high interest they usually charged me if I was a month late or something. Six days a week, filled with stress and racing the time. But here it came Saturday night, the coolest and the most exciting night in the week. The first thing I did in every Saturday night was to make sure I unplug the alarm clock, so it wouldn’t wake me up early in the morning looking for the baseball stick to hit it with. Then I had to go out with my friends. We usually came back home so late after we enjoyed our night. Then I had to do to sleep not worrying about waking up in a hurry to catch the bus. Finally, here it was, Sunday 11 o’clock in morning, it was so quiet. Not too much cars in the street, which made me feel that I lived in the countryside, especially when I saw the people coming out of the church, chatting with each other. Even the store across the street was so slow not crowded as it was in the weekdays.
