Since when are people arrested for pointing out a flaw?I think this law, should be reviewed and challenged. Free Speech allows anyone to criticize and demonstrate flaws within corporate products. I feel this quote from Dan Gillmor of the San Jose Mercury News best sums up what the DCMA is doing: “The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), a gift to the well-financed entertainment and software industries, trashed the public interest. It gave copyright owners the right to assert absolute control over copyrighted material, effectively allowing them to prevent the public from asserting a variety of traditional user's rights, including the ``fair use'' of making personal copies.” What you really must understand with DeCSS and not forget is DVD encryption does nothing to prevent content piracy.
