drug experiment
... each school. At the end of the week, I had ten students from three different colleges that wanted to be part of my experiment. I talked to those students, and set up an appointment for them to meet me at my office so we could get started on the experiment. When the first ten students came in, I had them take a general test, kind of like an act test and then gave them a one months supply of the drug and told them to take it every day and when they are finished, to come back to my office so I can test them again and see if they would score higher on the test. I told them that the pill would make them smarter. The second group of students came in and I had them take the test and told them to come back in a month, this group of students did not get the drug. My third group of students came in and I told them the same thing only with this group, instead of giving the drug that makes them smarter, I gave them just over the counter vitamin c pills and sent them off, these would be my control group. The reason for why I gave them the vitamin c pill was so that I could see that if they thought that they were getting a pill that would make them smarter they would get smarter, just being something that they believed in their head. I told them the same thing that I told group A that the pill would make them smarter. I graded all the tests, and wrote down all their scores in my logbook. Now I would just sit and wait for a month to go by and have the students come back and test again. A month went by and all the students came back to be retested. I asked the students that in the time of taking the drug did they feel sick at any time or if anything was wrong when they took the drug and they all said no. Now I knew for sure that it was safe to take and had no side affects. I gave all the students the test again, and then sent them off again and told them that I would be in contact with them soon with the results. All the students from group A did better on the test after taking the drug. A student that got a C on their test now got a b, and student that got a b now got an a on their test so I was very happy to see that. Students from group b, th...
