Double - Cohort
... OST: In there offices Introduction: With the new double-cohort in place a number of different problems for the students of Ontario. The basic question: "Can I get in?" is the main concern of Ontario students. Admission into post-secondary institutions is the number one worry of students graduating in the double cohort. With twice as many students applying, will there be enough spaces for all the students who wish to pursue higher education? Obstacles: It is going to be hard to get an interview with Ontario Student Trustees' Association because they are very busy. To try and avoid bias, I will try to interview many different students and teachers to get all the opinions. Climax: The climax of my documentary would have to be when I am interviewing Ontario Students Trustees and getting their view on the whole double- cohort issue because they are the ones who decided to make the new 4 year program. Conclusion: The double-cohort has been both good and bad. Students like the fact that they can finish their high school education faster, but students graduating in the first year of the double-cohort are very nervous because of so many people graduating and not enough spaces for all of the students in university. Added Effects: Overall the documentary is going to be a very peaceful. It is going to start off with students from grade 12 working on class work and then it Is going to switch to students from O.A.C working on the same work to show how the new school program is speeding up. The music used would mostly be classical and calm because this is a calm subject. Camera angles would consist of close-ups so that the emotions of the speakers could easily be identified. Lots of camera angles will be shown to keep the viewer interested. I will also have some fade transitions just for added effects. Sequence: My documentary will start off showing a black screen saying Double-cohort and you are going to hear what comes to mind when students hear that word. From there you will see students applying to universities. Throughout the entire documenta...
