...r religion. With abortionist murders and the recent terror attacks on the United States, it is fairly obvious that fanatical beliefs can have tragic results. These zealous religious believers attempt to convert others to their beliefs through brutal tactics. This point is also evident in the ongoing religious wars in the Middle East. Many casualties have resulted in religious prosecution and wars against other religions in Israel, Palestine, and currently in Afghanistan. It is also true that with many cases of psychological disorders, the subjects are obsessed with religious practices and deities. This is obvious in the mass suicides of religious colts and gangs. These practices above listed do not apply to all religionists, of course. In fact most doubtlessly denounce such neurotic actions. It is for this reason that people who hold moderate religious views as opposed to those who are entirely dogmatic tend to live less “disturbed” lives. These moderately religious people believe that there are religious, ethical laws that should be followed, however, they are not adamant about others following the same commandments. The group of people who are extremely pious feel utterly different. They believe that all others must adhere to their customs. They become extremely narrow-minded and intolerant.
