As the Aboriginals recognized that problems occur with the white, they tried to fight against them and soldiers came to protect the British. An estimated number of 100,000 aboriginal children were violently removed from their parents over a period of 50 years. They are called the “stolen generation”. The reason for it was to bred the colour out of them. The affected ones still did not get an official apology. With the arrival of the white settlers in 1788, the Aboriginals were dispossessed and today they claim for their land. Due to the lack of education the unemployment rate is very high among young Aboriginals and the punishment for property crimes is very hard. Universities have published Non-Discrimination Policies to prevent the linguistic discrimination of minorities.
