The underlying basis of differentiated instruction suggests that educators adapt their teaching style to the diverse needs of hte learners, rateher than students modifying themselves to the curriculum. Accommodating the different learnin gstyles and different abilities in one classroom actually means the teacher needs to sing, dance or even occasionally goof around to present material. Also, there should be a mixture of whole-class, group and individual instruction within the classroom. "Today I learned about differnt types of angles. My teacher, Ms. Excite, had our class split up into groups and take Poloroid pictures of ourselves creating the different angle measurements. It was so funny to see my friends lying on the floor. We had to create signs for our pictures labeling the types of angles. Ms. Excite had us play "Name that Anglw on our dry erase boards, and hold our ansswers up in the air. I got most of them right. THe coolest thing was that before Ms. Excite gave the answer she made us do a drum roll. I started my math homework, and Ms. Excite whispered to me to create a key on the top of the page to help myself, and asked me if I wanted to join her homework checker group in the back of the room," declared Stella Student.
