There is a certain thrill or high we get in violating what is considered to be the norm in the eyes of today’s society. There is that little something in us all, the id, that makes us act on impulse. If we can perform a deviant act, and get away with it, we will most likely do it. I found by stepping outside the gender role of a man, I had deviance written all over my face, as I walked in the shoes of a woman. I wanted to feel what being a woman was all about in the sense of picking out shoes, clothes, and finding the perfect shade of blush to blend the colors of my face together. Infringing upon the role of a woman brought about some interesting responses. I discovered when it comes to clothes, make-up, and shoes, the person whom is buying does not matter; its all about making the sale.
