This is the first step to coordination and consensus among team members. When having everyone’s individual needs and wants consensed or spoken to one another as a team, the team can then eliminate or prioritize multiple suggestions. This will result in a basic guideline to follow by everyone on the team. Lets talk about some pros and cons of democracy. Now first, one of the main benefits of democracy is voting. Even know there are many ways to vote like majority rules or even by unanimous decision. In majority rules you can bet on over half the team will be in agreement on the matter at hand. The more the votes sway to either side the more it will benefit not only the team health, but their individual health as well. When looking at unanimous decision-making it is thought of to be to time consuming but it encourages team members to consider different alternatives and will satisfy many more members of the team. Some of the drawbacks of democracy are members in teams that cannot agree on a method for voting like majority rules and unanimity.
