Until he realized how poorly treated he was when he fell and did not get back up. The bears trainer was disappointed and most of all humiliated by the bear. In response the trainer’s “mind’s eye had seen the bear suddenly strike, revenge himself. Yet nothing happened. Nothing; except the bear was beaten and battered, humiliated, even spat upon” (375).
