I’ve lost a few pounds and I feel great. This way I won’t get overweight and I will be healthier in the long run. I am eating a lot healthier foods before I run, instead of other things that will make me run bad and put my health at risk. My endurance has increased tremendously and I can go a long time without much rest. Another reason, naturally, is the girls. There’s nothing better than being in a sport and having a bunch of good looking girls always around. Unlike all the other fall sports, cross country is the only one that has a large female population and guys are allowed to be in it too. Through cross country I have learned to be a competitor and never give up. I have been motivated to give my all for my own personal satisfaction and expectations. Both of those I consider very important. I have adopted the phrase, “Never give up, never surrender,” as the season has progressed.
