This feature is not very useful. · It is easy to group project information as package makes analysis work graphical and clear. · Once you allocate resources to the tasks it is easy to track and manage the project by having milestones set and by inserting delays. · If a change occur in the project it will automatically updates the whole project including the duration of the project, schedules of resources etc. This feature is very useful as the project-manager doesn’t have to spend time going through each task and resource updating them. But the negative feature is that once you set the end-date package will move it to the front. · MS-Project offers the ability to independently set the use of economic year for major and minor time scales. This is useful for major business projects, but not for minor projects. · Resource-levelling feature is another useful technique in the package. It allows the project manager to resolve the problem of over-allocation of resources. Once you level the resources and if you try to add a news task and allocate a resource to it, it will show that the resource is over-allocated and if we try to edit the resource it will show a message similar to “over allocation cannot be resolved”. This is another negative feature of the package. · The latest version of MS project is MS project 2002.
