Computer Violence And How It Affects People

After being shot in a computer game the “Health Bar” begins to go down and characters can still walk and move around where as in real life they would fall and bleed to death. The “Health Bar” can also be increased after eating certain types of food or getting quick medical treatment which in real life wouldn’t pose that greater help. Violent games affect younger people when they show pictures of blood and people being killed. This could give young children nightmares. Games, such as Alien VS Predator, contain graphic details showing very detailed pictures of blood, violence and severe mutilation of the body. This in its self could easily scare children into having bad dreams or confusing reality and the games. Young children could also think that killing and fighting is acceptable in every day life. Children could have played a fighting game on their computer and then attend school where they go about trying out the new moves on friends and end up seriously injuring themselves or someone else. This could also result into being placed in trouble with teachers and authority figures. People in social groups can also be affected by violent games.
