competitive extracurricular activities cause students to suffer
...ok part in the competitive part of both. My senior year of high school I served as both the student body treasurer of the student government, and as president of the Key Club. For both associations I had to campaign in order to obtain such leadership roles. I feel that through my experience I had learned that if you have enough passion for something, and put your heart into what you believe, anything is possible. At first, I was quite hesitant about the competition part. I feel that because I knew I could make a difference in both organizations it sparked the motivation I needed to work hard to compete for those offices. I know that during the competition I enhanced my public speaking skills, learned how to work hard for what I want, and learned to deal with the fact that there is always going to be competition out there, and in some cases it is possible that I may not come out the winner. I believe if I ever felt that I was suffering from being in these organizations...
