...tage- my inability to properly study- slowly began to become a strength. In Mr. Morey’s class junior year I began to do well in math. By the end of the year I was getting A’s and B’s. For the first time in a long time I was beginning to understand the math. At one point that year I was helping other students in my class, which was a nice change for me. I think Mr. Morey’s style of test taking helped me a lot. In his class you have a quiz with four questions and you need to get at least three questions right to pass that objective. This helped me because I could retake a test as many times as necessary. After a few weeks you could only receive a seventy-five, but this style of testing allows a student to “master”, as Mr. Morey would say, a certain concept. Mr. Coombs was my junior English teacher. Mr. Coombs really helped me develop my writing. My writing went from really short and concise to being more well-developed. Mr. Quigley, my junior history teacher, opened my eyes to what a real history class was going to be like. My grades in history were always in the B+ or A range, and I had always thought history would be a walk in the park-until I got into that class.
