...s important that they should not be paid because sports in college is an extra curricular activity, on the other hand professional sports, that is there job. College students are going to college to get and education and hopefully obtain a degree. They have the option to play sports and hope to get recognized by scouts to draft them to profession levels. A benefit that would be realized is that there will be no unnecessary given money to the college athletes. The reason I think college athletes should not get paid is by them going to college they are going to get the best education money can buy. If they were to get paid certain schools would offer different amounts of money for the athlete to attend that school and play sports for them, they would not be going for the education, therefor...
