cloning

...y organ. This is very useful to people who have lost an organ. This technique would be much better than relying on organ transplants from other people. The supply would be limitless, so there would be no waiting lists. This type of cloning is called therapeutic cloning and it could save thousands of lives. If one of your family members needed a heart or any other important organ would you disagree with cloning an organ to save their life? If more research is allowed scientists will be able to increase the population of endangered species and possibly extinct species. For example the two giant panda’s that lived in Washington D.C.’s national zoo never produced offspring that survived more than a few days. Now scientists can, using frozen tissue from the dead pandas create a cloned offspring of a species that is extinct. If cloning endangered species was allowed we would be able to keep these beautiful animals from extinction and would help maintain a natural balance in an ecosystem. If a certain species in an ecosystem was becoming extinct the whole balance of the ecosystem would be disrupted, but cloning could save the species and continue the cycle of the ecosystem. Cloning could benefit couples who are infertile and would like to have a child. Cloning could create a baby with similar characteristics. However many people believe that this is morally wrong. It would not be fair to create a cloned baby and allow the mother and father to choose characteristics for the baby because this would be unfair to others if your baby got to be better than ...
