Of course Neo makes the decision to take the red pill, he is then removed from the matrix AND THEN starts the action packed adventure filled with more choices and decisions. Neo finds himself Trying to discover the purpose of all this ‘stuff’ that is happening and that has so quickly changed his life. IMAGINE IF Neo had taken the blue pill. That decision would have obviously led him into an entirely different path questioning weather it had been a dream or reality. Have you ever question YOURSELF? What if I HAD chosen that way? What if I hadn’t? Like Neo, we usually make the decision which we ‘think’ is best, only to find it will lead to more choices and consequences. Watching the movie the matrix influences me to realise that the choices we make can change your life in a split second. *Direct from the future to the past, we read Macbeth by Shakespeare. We all know the story of Macbeth. With it, comes, greed, selfishness, power, love, murder and betrayal. It is all about the ones who want to become king. Like the story of Macbeth, we only want what is best for ourselves and what will benefit us in the future. But sometimes we don’t always get what we want so there for we hurt others along the way. The story Macbeth is a roller coaster of questions, decisions and consequences. After hearing the witches’ prophecy that Macbeth was to be king, Macbeth thus became selfish and greedy and wanted to be sure to get take the thrown. Macbeth made choices that would benefit him and only him and consequently everyone else around him either got killed or got incredibly angry with him. So how does this story help us to understand the consequences of our choices? To me this story, like what happened to Macbeth Tells us, that the choices we Make are influenced by who and what is around us, And the consequences that come from them, not only affect you, but also affect all the people around you. My understanding from reading this text is that when we make decisions we must analyze our options carefully and take into consideration the people around us, because you never know where you might end up.
