Basically, the men must face manual labor, very long work hours and very low wages for their work. The women were given less strenuous jobs then the men, but they still had to endure long work hours and low wages. In the movie the women were given jobs as first working in a factory and later cleaning houses. The job in the factory was ironing the clothing that was being sewn. This job did not last long because the factory was raided. The next job the women acquired was a house cleaning job. This job also was not a hard job, but she had problems working the electronic appliances because she did not know how to read. This caused a big problem in one scene because she could not use the washing machine she washed the clothes by hand instead. The owner of the house was displeased with this because she thought it was too hard and she should use the washing machine. This proved to be a big problem because neither women could read and they never asked for help. The experiences of the women differed from the men because in the movie the women interact with their boss more and do not have an interpreter so this makes it very hard for them to find out what they are supposed to do in their job. The women were still paid low wages and had to work very long hours. The experiences of both genders had many obstacles which they needed to overcome in order to be able to work. They also had many problems in common which they had to face. Things like learning to speak English or learning how to read.
