...elongings are gone, even his wife. The messages of his wife, Carol, calling herself his "ex-wife” left on Vincent’s cell-phone aid to his confusion and frustration. He believes that his wife left him took his kids and all the furniture. He picks his cell-phone up and calls his sister-in-law looking for his wife, whom he gets no help from her; she claims that his wife is at home. Trying to make sense of this situation, Vincent then calls his best-friend Jimmy to explain what happened. Vincent asks Jimmy to come-over and bring some beer, Jimmy is hesitant to bring beer and flat-out tells Vincent that he has a drinking problem and should think about quitting. Vincent is fully aware of his drinking problem and simply doesn't care; he wants his beer at seven-thirty in the morning. A young woman, Angela enters the apartment looking to rent it.
