... I think Carlson just enjoys murder and guns so he didn’t mind killing Lennie. It was amusing to him. Curly was just out to get Lennie and he was glad Lennie was dead, but I am glad that Curly did not get the pleasure of killing Lennie. I think Slim understands the pain George is going through somehow and I am glad George has Slim there for him. This was a good ending to the story because it shows everything got worked out, and even though George and Lennie didn’t accomplish their dreams, they still made it through okay.Lennie has done a very bad thing and he knows it too. After he killed Curly’s wife he knew he had to leave. I think it’s good that he has a meeting spot with George so that George knows where to find him now. It seems that Lennie keeps harming things of greater importance and greater size. First it was the mice and that didn’t affect anybody except George because he didn’t want Lennie killing any mice. Then it was the puppy, which was bigger than the mice and was more important to Lennie. Now he killed Curly’s wife, who is maybe the worst kill yet, besides what happened in Weed. Now Curly is after Lennie to kill him and I don’t think he will get a second chance. Do you think it’s right for Lennie to be lynched for what he has done?
