The advantage of the internet is that it’s always around not only that but if you have a paper due and wait till the last minute to get started all you need is the internet and you can get an already made paper by copying and pasting. Another advantage of the computer is the email. When I was a kid around the age of 9 or 10 and I had my first computer I never knew what email was. I thought it was a fancier way of saying the post office or something like that. I didn’t get the handle of email until my freshman year of high school. The advantage of email is that it connect you to your friends are family quicker than just to send them a regular note, you can use email to get to that person closer. If your teacher has an email address then instead of using the phone or if you can’t get in touch with them then you can use email and get to him/her quicker. The disadvantage of the Internet is the information that you get and the over information that you get. You can go to any search engine, type in a whole phrase and get over 30,000 responses, some which have nothing to do with what you asked. It takes up a lot of valuable time just to look up one subject. Another disadvantage is the explicit part of the Internet. Children who are on the computer have easy access to anything they want to. Not all parents have cyber patrol on their computers and I’m not going to blame parents for what kids’ get into when it comes to the computer. Web sites don’t care who view the page, just as long as they get paid for it. The warning signs may say “Do Not Enter if you’re under the age of 18” that’s a nice warning to have but do kids under the age of 18 actually follow through? No. When I was a kid we didn’t have this big of a worry about pornography, we knew it was around but we didn’t have as much easy access to it...
